Does your nonprofit need a marketing plan?
So you think you need a marketing plan. Something outlining the next 12-36 months of all marketing endeavors for your organization.
So many organizations think they need a comprehensive, lengthy marketing plan, but that's not actually what they need.
What you actually need is the blueprint.
The framework for the next 3-6 months in bite-sized form. What you don't need is pages and pages of tactics you'll never have the time, resources, or money to implement It gets so outdated so quickly.
Start by looking at the remainder of 2020. Outline the marketing plan for this year. Bullet point, keep it simple.
Start with goal setting, then tactics to achieve those goals.
Should you have 12 goals? NO!!
This blueprint should be achievable - doable given your existing team size and resources. Consider 3-5 goals.
Here’s some examples to get your wheels turning:
Raise 10k on Giving Tuesday
Build out and launch new social media storytelling campaign
Create and promote new recurring donor program (with jazzy name, compelling donor levels, branded graphics and assets)
This framework is exactly why my clients see huge results. Engagement increases. Donor retention skyrockets. We build the framework, train together to execute, and go! The best part? Marketing starts to feel E-A-S-Y and something you actually look forward to doing.
Make it bite-sized and let’s go!
Ready to take this to the next level? Let’s do this!
