Donor Retention Magic: Creating a Nurture Sequence
Have you crafted a new Donor Nurture Sequence?
These sequences captivate and develop a relationship with new donors.
A lot of orgs have a version of this or a desire to create a program that never quite happens. The sequence and timing should be clear, planned in advance, and automated, when possible. It doesn't have to be boring - the same old "thank you" emails and so on. How could you inspire and engage in a bite-sized way?
It might look like this:
Week 1: Social media shout-out
Week 2: Automated email with link to blog with the "Top 5 Things You Should Know About Us”
Week 3: Mailed postcard or swag item with hand written note
Week 4: Automated email with a video
Week 5: Call to action to volunteer, share, etc.
At least 50% of this could be automated! Time saving, relationship developing magic.
You could do the entire sequence as an automated drip campaign via Mailchimp or another email management software.
